Galatians 5:22 But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a persons...life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Spirit produces in us - Self-control. The definition of self-control is the ability to exercise control over one’s feelings, emotions, reactions, appetites by willpower. This is where the ideological difference between biblical thinking and non-biblical thinking. Non-biblical thinking proposes the ability to control one's emotions, behavior, and desires by will power. Bible teaches the fruit the Spirit produces in a person is self-control thourgh Spirit Power. 2 Timothy 1:7 God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control. As we learn to submit to God...one of the areas of our lives that gets stronger is self-control.
