Tracy Belben, a degreed architect, is the maker and designer behind her self-titled contemporary chainmail couture collection. Using lightweight aluminum and hand tools, Belben intricately hand-links and engineers each luxurious piece for ultimate comfort and wearability. Precisely constructed to enhance the body’s natural shape with modest coverage, the collection is made to empower the wearer. A pioneer in New England for using unique alternative materials in fashion design, Belben’s work has been featured at the Institute of Contemporary Art (Boston) and Refinery29 + Simon Malls "The Shopping Block" Event, IHateBlonde (Blog), Vogue Italia, and Staples websites. Her work was awarded “Best in Class” at the 2016 World Makerfaire (NYC) and was sold at Patricia Field Boutique, owned by legendary “Sex and The City” & “Devil Wears Prada” stylist Patricia Field. Tracy is one of the features designers for the Boston Design Week’s special edition of Fashionably late at the Liberty Hotel. This is even is March 30th at 9 pm and is hosted by Laura Powers.
