Good Grapes - Wild Grapes

Updated about 5 days ago.

Isaiah 5:1-7 (NRSV) was the scripture base for this sermon.

Christ is the vine, and God is the gardener who cares for the branches to make them fruitful. The branches are all those who claim to be followers of Christ. The fruitful branches are true believers who by their living union with Christ produce much fruit.

Do I really walk with Jesus each and every day? If someone lived or worked with me every day and didn't speak to me, I'd feel awful. Still, we do this to our wonderful Lord.

If I give a gift to someone and they fail to thank me, We say to myself: "Isn't that awful?" Yet, We do this to Jesus.

We need to pray that the Holy Spirit will renew us, that we may walk closer to Jesus. Can we do less than to continually give Him our thanks and praise?
